Job Shadow/Intern

Grace Animal Hospital welcomes students in grades 6-12 for Job Shadowing opportunities and Internships for high school junior and seniors during pre-arranged hours. We require students to be appropriately dressed (no jeans, shorts, T-shirts, or open-toed shoes). After approval ahead of time by our Practice Manager, we expect students to arrive on time with any required paperwork from their class or guidance counselor. On arrival, students will be introduced to the staff and given a full tour of our facility. They will then be assigned various tasks such as assisting the veterinarians and technicians with appointments, treatments, and even observe surgery and procedures. Students are also encouraged to bring their cameras. If interested, please contact our Practice Manager.

Externships are also available for students currently enrolled at Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Health Technician programs. Please contact our Practice Manager for available opportunities and include a basic resume and curriculum information.
